On August 6 we went to the Warner Bros. Making of Harry Potter tour up in Leavesden (England). (We took the Tube to London Euston and then took the 20-minute train ride from Euston to Watford Junction. A shuttle bus takes you from Watford to the studios.)
Consequently, this will be an enjoyable post for fans of Harry Potter, and a really boring post for anyone who's not. :)
I found out that this tour existed while I was reading our Susanna's posts about her trip there ... thanks, Sus! We had such a fun time. It was even better than expected.
I took so many photos I need to divide this into two posts. Maybe three. :)
So you get there, and you're in a huge big room, and you grab a Starbucks and stand in line for maybe twenty minutes (they're fast minutes, because there's a lot to see while you wait), and you're all happy and excited.
Then you have a little orientation and watch a little film and get goosebumps from happiness from the phenomenon that is Harry Potter.
After the orientation, we all kind of went "oooohhhh" (like in Toy Story when the little squeaky aliens see The Claw) when our guide opened the doors to the Great Hall.
I'll let the photos speak for themselves ... these are the actual costumes, sets, and props from the movies. If you're a fan, you'll know what they are, and if you're not, my explaining won't help anything. :)
Yes ... Rob Pattinson actually wore this. :)
More photos to come! :)
