I found two of these knobs at Anthropologie a couple weeks ago, and I bought them because they didn't cost very much and I thought they were pretty.
I stuck them on a cheap little pine cabinet in our dining room that I bought at Ikea in 1996 or 1997. It was orangey-yellow pine for years, then when we moved into this house I painted it (light blue), then later I painted it again (black), then later I painted it again (white.) It has been white for a few years now. I'm sticking with white.
The original knobs were wooden and were painted on (I was lazy and didn't remove them for the black or white coats of paint) so they didn't come off even after I removed the screws. So I whacked them each with a hammer, just once, and they popped right off. That was surprisingly satisfying. I want to whack something else with a hammer.
Now as I look at the knobs, I notice the period is missing after "No". So it's not actually an abbreviation for the word "number". It's just the word "no".
No! Vote no on 354!
I wonder what 354 is.
Despite appearances to the contrary, I don't actually have a master plan in place to turn my entire house yellow.
