it's hot. no, really.

The chances are about 100 percent that if you have a friend on Facebook who lives in southern California, he or she is posting statuses that say something like this:

Wow, it's really hot!

Of course that needs some quantifying.  I should specify that today in L.A. it got up to 113 degrees, which is the hottest day on record in Los Angeles, ever.

It's so nice because it gives us all something to talk about.  I had about twenty-seven conversations today that went just like this:

Wow, it's really hot!

I'm sorry not to have any photos to document this record-breaking heat, but my camera melted.
