Claire's school's annual silent auction is this Saturday night, so this week I've been getting the table decor together for the 31 tables. I have a little red geranium nursery out in my driveway, where I'm repotting them. It's kind of fun. :)
Although my own geraniums in the windowboxes are looking a little spazzy.
I had trouble finding enough gallon pots of red zonal geraniums for the table decor. (I ended up getting enough from five different places. I just bought them all right up.) I was talking to a buyer at a nursery, and he said he's had trouble finding them this year, because the growers aren't growing as many because they are "kind of out of fashion." What?!?
There was a woman next to me in line at that last nursery, who had placed a special order for 30 red geraniums the week before, and was cancelling it because they hadn't come in. "I can't find any ANYWHERE," she said. I avoided eye contact with her.
Here's my sweet helper.
Corgi smiles are always in fashion. :)
